These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the agreement between you ("you", the "customer") and Screenie ("we", "us", "our", the "business") for our mail-in phone screen repair service. By placing an order and sending your device to us, you accept these Terms.

We provide a postal ("mail-in") phone screen repair service for Apple iPhone devices. You choose your screen type, send us your phone by post, we carry out the repair, and we post the device back to you.
These Terms apply to every order placed through our website. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under English law, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Governing law: These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
2.1 You place an order through our website by selecting your iPhone model, choosing your preferred screen type (LCD or OLED), and completing payment.
2.2 You are responsible for selecting the correct iPhone model for your device. If the device you send does not match the model on your order, we will contact you before carrying out any work, and any difference in price will need to be agreed before the repair proceeds.
2.3 Prices shown on our website are inclusive of postage both ways — the cost of sending your phone to us and the cost of returning it to you — unless we expressly state otherwise for a particular listing or service.
2.4 Your order is only accepted once payment has been received and confirmed by us. We will send you an order confirmation by email.
2.5 Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include applicable VAT where required.
3.1 Before sending your phone to us, you must provide the device's IMEI number at the point of ordering or as requested by us. The IMEI is usually found in your phone's settings, on the original packaging, or by dialling *#06# on the device.
3.2 We use the IMEI to:
-
identify and match your device to your order;
-
confirm the device model;
-
reduce the risk of fraud and stolen devices being processed;
-
keep an accurate repair record for your device.
3.3 If you do not provide a valid IMEI before sending your phone, we may delay or decline to carry out the repair until one is provided. If a device arrives without a matching IMEI on file, we will hold it and contact you rather than beginning any work.
3.4 Your IMEI is personal data. We process it for the purposes of performing our contract with you, fraud prevention, and maintaining repair records. We store it securely, do not sell it, and retain it, together with any condition photos and videos, for [12/24] months after the repair unless a longer period is needed for an active dispute, warranty claim, legal obligation, or fraud-prevention purpose. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
4.1 Postage from you to us is included in the price. We will provide you with postage instructions and, where applicable, a prepaid or pre-paid-for return postage label so you can send your device to us. Please follow the instructions provided in your order confirmation email.
4.2 You must:
-
package the device securely and appropriately to protect it during transit;
-
remove your SIM card, SIM tray tool, case, screen protector, and any accessories (we cannot be responsible for items left in the device);
-
back up your data before sending the device (see Section 6);
-
include a note of your order reference inside the package, where helpful.
4.3 Liability for transit to us: We are only responsible for your device from the point it is received and accepted by us at our repair address. Loss or damage occurring while the phone is in transit to us is a matter for the postal carrier, and where a compensation claim is available we will provide reasonable assistance to help you pursue it. We are not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging, except where we have caused or contributed to that loss through our own negligence or where the law says we cannot exclude liability.
4.4 You should send the device using a tracked and, where possible, insured postage method. If we provide a label, use the label we provide rather than arranging your own postage, so the device can be matched to your order.
5. Inspection, recording, and testing
5.1 When your device arrives, we will inspect it and record its condition. We may photograph and/or video-record the device when received, during inspection, during the repair, during testing, and before it is returned to you.
5.2 The purpose of this recording is to:
-
evidence the condition of the device on arrival and after repair;
-
confirm the device and IMEI match your order;
-
demonstrate that the relevant functions are working (or show the extent of any pre-existing faults);
-
help prevent and resolve disputes.
5.3 Our records will show the device working — or not working — to the extent we are reasonably able to test and demonstrate it at that stage. Some devices cannot be fully tested, for example where the screen is badly cracked, the device will not power on, it is liquid-damaged, or it is locked and we cannot access the home screen. In those cases, we will record and show what we are able to test, and we will note any limitations in the condition report.
5.4 We will make a reasonable record of the device's condition on arrival. If we identify pre-existing damage (such as frame damage, liquid damage, prior poor repairs, or non-screen faults) that was not visible or disclosed at the time of ordering, we will contact you before proceeding.
6. Your data and device access
6.1 You are responsible for backing up your data before sending your device to us. Repairs can, in rare cases, result in data loss. We are not responsible for loss of data, photos, contacts, apps, or accounts, except where this is caused by our negligence and would be recoverable in law.
6.2 Where possible, we recommend you sign out of accounts and remove personal data before sending the device. If you choose to leave data on the device, you do so at your own risk.
6.3 To test the repair properly (for example, touch function, display, and Face ID where relevant), we may need to access the device's functions. If your device is passcode-locked, you may choose to:
-
provide a temporary access method so we can fully test the repair; or
-
decline to provide access, in which case testing will be limited to what we can verify without unlocking the device.
6.4 We will not access, copy, or share your personal data other than to the extent necessary to test the repair and verify functionality.
7. The repair and screen options
7.1 Our standard service is a screen (display) replacement. We do not repair other faults (such as battery, motherboard, or charging port issues) unless this is expressly agreed with you in writing and paid for separately.
7.2 We offer two screen options:
-
LCD screen replacement — a high-quality LCD panel. A budget-friendly option that restores the display to full working order. On models where the original screen is OLED, the LCD option is an aftermarket-quality panel and may differ slightly in colour, brightness, or contrast from the original.
-
OLED / premium screen replacement — a premium display panel offering superior colour accuracy, deeper blacks, and a sharper display, closer to the original, where an OLED or premium panel is available for your model. The exact panel type supplied is as described on the individual product listing.
7.3 Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific listing, replacement parts are not Apple-branded or "original" OEM parts. They are quality aftermarket replacement panels. We do not describe any part as "genuine" or "original Apple" unless we have specifically confirmed this for that listing.
7.4 The outcome of the repair can be affected by pre-existing faults including (but not limited to): liquid damage, motherboard or logic board faults, frame or housing damage, prior poor-quality repairs, Face ID / Touch ID issues, and True Tone or auto-brightness features. Some features (such as True Tone) may not function identically after an aftermarket screen replacement, and we will let you know where this is the case.
7.5 If, during inspection or repair, we discover additional faults that were not part of your original order, we will contact you to seek your approval before carrying out any additional chargeable work.
8. Turnaround time and return delivery
8.1 We aim to complete all repairs promptly. However, the full process — including inbound postage, inspection, repair, quality checks, and return postage — may take up to 14 days from the date we receive your device, unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
8.2 The 14-day period is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Delays can occur due to postal carrier performance, parts availability, or unforeseen issues identified during repair. If a delay is likely, we will contact you.
8.3 Return postage from us to you is included in the price. We will return your device to the delivery address you provided at checkout using a tracked postal service.
8.4 You are responsible for providing the correct delivery address. If you provide an incorrect address and the device is delivered there or returned to us, you may be liable for the cost of re-shipping. If a delivery is unsuccessful, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery.
8.5 We are responsible for arranging return delivery with reasonable care. If the device is lost or damaged during return transit, we will assist with any carrier compensation claim and handle the matter in accordance with applicable law. We are not responsible for delays caused by the postal carrier outside our reasonable control, except where caused by our negligence or where the law does not allow us to exclude liability.
9.1 Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel a distance contract.
9.2 Because this is a repair service, if you ask us to begin the repair within that 14-day period and we do so, you may lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed with your consent. By sending your device to us and instructing us to begin the repair, you are expressly requesting that we start the service during the cancellation period. At checkout, you will be asked to confirm the following: "I request that Screenie begins the repair service during the 14-day cancellation period and understand that I may lose my right to cancel once the repair is completed."
9.3 If you cancel after work has begun but before it is completed, you may be liable to pay for the work already carried out, together with any postage and reasonable administration costs.
9.4 If you cancel before we have received your device or before any work has started, you are entitled to a full refund of the price paid. Refunds will be made to your original payment method within 14 days of cancellation.
9.5 Nothing in this section affects your statutory cancellation rights, and nothing here limits your rights if the goods or service are faulty.
10.1 We provide a 12-month warranty from the date of repair covering defects in the parts used and the workmanship of the repair we carried out, subject to the exclusions below. (Note: the warranty period may vary for specific listings or promotions — the period stated on your order confirmation applies.)
10.2 The warranty does not cover:
-
accidental damage, drops, or impact damage after the repair;
-
liquid or water damage;
-
damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper use;
-
damage caused by you or a third party opening, modifying, or attempting to repair the device;
-
software faults, viruses, or issues not caused by our repair;
-
faults unrelated to the screen we replaced (for example, battery, camera, or charging faults that existed before or developed after the repair);
-
normal wear and tear.
10.3 To make a warranty claim, contact us with your order reference and IMEI. We will assess the claim and, where appropriate, arrange for the device to be returned to us for inspection. If the issue is confirmed as covered by our warranty or your statutory rights, we will carry out the repair or replacement at no charge and reimburse your reasonable postage costs or provide a prepaid return label. If no covered fault is found, you may be responsible for the cost of return postage, and we will contact you before any chargeable work is carried out.
10.4 If we determine that the issue is not covered by the warranty, we will contact you with a diagnosis and, where relevant, a quote for any further work. You will not be charged for further work without your approval.
10.5 This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. If we cannot complete the repair
11.1 If, after inspection, we determine that the repair cannot be completed (for example, due to severe internal damage, a fault unrelated to the screen, or a device that is beyond economic repair), we will contact you to explain the position.
11.2 If we have not carried out the repair, we will refund the price you paid, less any reasonable diagnostic and return postage costs only if these have been clearly disclosed to you at the time of ordering or before inspection. Where no such fee has been disclosed, we will not charge one.
11.3 We will return your device to you using tracked postage. If you do not want the device returned, we will dispose of or recycle it securely at your written request.
12.1 We are liable for loss or damage to your device caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill while the device is in our possession — that is, from the time it is received and accepted by us at our repair address until it is handed to the postal carrier for return to you.
12.2 We are not liable for:
-
loss or damage occurring while the device is in transit to us or being returned to you, except where caused by our negligence;
-
pre-existing faults, damage, or wear that existed before the repair;
-
loss of data, photos, contacts, or accounts, except where caused by our negligence and recoverable in law;
-
faults or issues not caused by the repair we carried out;
-
any indirect, consequential, or economic loss (such as loss of use, loss of business, or loss of profit), except where this would be unlawful;
-
events outside our reasonable control (see Section 15).
12.3 Our total liability for direct loss or damage to your device caused by us will not exceed the device's reasonable current market value immediately before the loss or damage occurred, except in cases of death, personal injury, or fraud, or where a higher liability cannot be excluded by law.
12.4 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
12.5 These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you have any doubt about your rights, you can contact Citizens Advice (consumer service: 0808 223 1133) or the Trading Standards service for free guidance.
13. Abandoned and uncollected devices
13.1 If we are unable to complete a repair and we contact you to arrange return or further instructions, we will hold your device for a reasonable period (normally 60 days from our first attempt to contact you).
13.2 If you do not respond or arrange collection/return within that period, we will send you a final notice. If there is still no response within a further 30 days after that notice, we may dispose of, recycle, or sell the device to recover any reasonable storage and administration costs, in accordance with applicable law, including any notice requirements for uncollected goods.
13.3 We will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the email and phone number you provided before taking any such step.
14.1 If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at casinatoruk@gmail.com with your order reference and IMEI. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and provide a full response within 14 days.
14.2 We will do our best to resolve any issue fairly. If we cannot resolve the matter and you remain dissatisfied, you may have the right to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service. We will, where required, provide details of a certified ADR provider.
15. Events outside our control (force majeure)
15.1 We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including (but not limited to): postal strikes or carrier disruptions, severe weather, accidents, fire or flood, power or telecommunications outages, supplier or parts shortages, pandemic or public health events, or any action taken by government or regulatory authorities.
15.2 If such an event occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and resume the service.
16.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version in force on the date you placed that order, which is shown by the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
16.2 We will make the current version available on our website.
